Horse
1) - Guests’ horses welcome by appointment.
2) - All horses – own and guests’ – must have a valid vaccination card and all horses must be wormed at least twice a year.
3) - There should be a two-section paddock at the campsite offering shade and shelter, dry bedding and free access to water. Only electric fencing must be installed.
4) - Horses may only be stabled in box stalls or in a loose housing system. Horses must not be stabled alone.
5) - Hay must be offered to the guests’ horses.
6) - It should be possible to hire/borrow riding equipment. The equipment should be in good working order.
7) - A drying room/cupboard should be available for clothes and equipment.
8) - The campsite should have a regular blacksmith who attends to the campsite’s own horses every 10 or so weeks.
9) - The site should offer several rides in the area of varying length. A mature guide with knowledge of horses, trained in first aid within the past three years, must accompany guests on these rides.
10) - The campsite must take out the mandatory liability insurance (for private) and/or professional liability insurance.
11) - Sites offering a horse theme must be able to accommodate carriages (horse-drawn).
12) - An area must be provided for the parking of horse trailers and horse-drawn carriages.
